Denham-Blythe is a people-focused design-build construction company committed to providing the best possible construction service in the industry.  Founded in 1976, we have completed over 10,000 projects to date.  Currently we are seeking a Construction Superintendent at our Nashville, Tennessee location.

Construction Superintendents are responsible for all daily site activities, coordination, scheduling, planning, implementation, safety, quality control and reporting for their assigned job site.  They shall be effective in managing in-house resources such as tools, equipment, manpower, materials and supplies.  Shall set forth a culture of safety, quality, timeliness and efficiency for the entire job site. 

Construction Superintendents will be required to communicate effectively with Clients, Project Managers, field crews and design team.  The Construction Superintendent shall be capable of pre-emptively preventing construction errors, improving construction details through constant and effective communication with project design team.

Construction Superintendents shall be responsible for organized, concise and accurate record keeping of project installations, activities, time reporting, preventative and recording of safety documents.

Construction Superintendents shall order and coordinate deliveries to the project site in an effective manner and will be responsible for leading in-house concrete and carpentry forces, coordinating all other trades for an efficient and safe job site.


  • 5 - 7 years construction experience
  • Safe track record
  • General carpentry skills
  • Concrete formwork experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer skills in MS word, MS Excel and email
  • Able to perform minor construction layout
  • Proficient in reading and understanding construction plans
  • Organized
  • Positive leadership skills
  • Knowledge of building codes, means & methods of general building construction  
  • Valid US driver’s license
  • Ability to understand and adhere to construction schedule and budget

Candidates must have a valid driver's license.  Must be willing to travel occasionally.
